Project Description

The mandate of this project was to design a visual identity of a revival brand. I was given Ideal Toys to rebrand, which I then renamed into IDEA Toys and gave it a new look.

Contents page of the brand guidelines, outlining sections for the new visual identity.
Divider page displaying the logotype in large, blocky typeface, emphasizing modularity.

Challenge

IDEA Toys is a company that manufactures vintage toys and offers 3D printing. The challenge was to rebrand the company and design a branding guidelines book for its new visual identity.

Approach

I wanted to keep the logo simple and give it a feeling of modularity. Creating a blocky typeface for use as the brand’s identity gave it the sense that it was crafted by machine. This style emphasizes the playful and technical aspects of the brand.

Solution

The outcome of this project is new clean logotype and a simple branding guidelines book that clearly explains how to use the new visual identity.

Brand guidelines book open to a spread featuring the new logo in an oversized way maximized on both pages.
